Nameless Friends announce new album ‘The Quiet Part, Loudly’; drop Celtic-punk rager ‘I’m Afraid of Failure’

Toronto’s fiercest glitter-clad rock collective Nameless Friends are back with a vengeance. Following their explosive 2025 double release, ‘Mary’ and ‘There’s a Rapist in the White House’, the band now sets sights on their second album, The Quiet Part, Loudly, due April 15, 2026.

The latest taste of what’s to come is ‘I’m Afraid of Failure’, a defiant, electrifying anthem that crashes Celtic punk energy into the reckless joy of ‘90s ska and basement shows. Described by the band as “Great Big Sea on speed,” the track rages against the fear of falling short, choosing instead to celebrate the courage it takes to keep trying.

Working with renowned producer Nyles Spencer (The Tragically Hip, Alvvays), The Quiet Part, Loudly marks the band’s most ambitious work yet, blending heartland grit, punk urgency, and protest-folk fire into a rallying cry for resilience.
