Hushtones share final single ‘Leave Me Out’ ahead of new album ‘Wildflower in the Mystery’
With their new album ‘Wildflower in the Mystery’ set for release on 19th September, Liverpool indie-pop outfit Hushtones now unveil its final preview, the brooding and harmony-laced single ‘Leave Me Out’.
A darker turn from the band’s typically bright sound, ‘Leave Me Out’ sees Hushtones embracing raw vulnerability. “The lyrics are desperate, flawed, human,” explains vocalist Martha. “It’s about chasing something you’re never quite able to grasp.” Yet despite its melancholic verses, the chorus blooms with rich four-part harmonies, a glimpse of light through the shade.
Formed through Liverpool’s grassroots scene, Hushtones have become known for their twin-lead vocals and emotionally resonant songwriting. With BBC 6Music and Radio 1 support already under their belt, ‘Leave Me Out’ marks another confident step ahead of what promises to be a defining album.
