In God, We Trust EP Songs Ranked
In God We Trust, Inc. is a hardcore punk EP by the Dead Kennedys and the first of the group’s releases with drummer D.H. Peligro. The record is a screed against things ranging from organized religion and Neo-Nazis, to the pesticide Kepone and government indifference that worsened the effects of Minamata disease catastrophes. In God We Trust, Inc. is also the first Dead Kennedys album released after the presidential election of Ronald Reagan and features the band’s first references to Reagan, for which they—and hardcore punk as a genre—would become notorious. Here are all of In God We Trust EP songs ranked.

8. Dog Bite
“I’m too lazy to look up the background of this EP, but for all purposes In God We Trust Inc. feels like a Dead Kennedys demo. In no way is that a bad thing, but that’s just how the release sounds.”
7. Kepone Factory
“Most tracks on the EP are short, fast-paced, and aggressive hardcore punk songs with politically charged lyrics. Lead vocalist Jello Biafra spits out his sarcastic venom with great passion and conviction and the instrumental part of the music is delivered with the right restless energy and anarchistic bite.”
7. Rawhide
“Short, but edgy and insightful. Tells a few stories, mocks a few people, can you get any more punk-ier? The lyrics are a bit hard to make out on a few tracks, and on some are just downright unintelligible unless you are reading lyrics along with it, but once you know them you then grow to love them.”

6. Hyperactive Child
“This can put some people off, but I found myself listening to the songs over and over trying to piece together the few syllables you can actually hear, and I thoroughly enjoyed doing it.”
5. We’ve Got a Bigger Problem Now
“One of the more energetic, raw and brutal releases from the band. The whole thing goes around quite merciless and actually very straight forward as well. The straight forwardness goes for both the music and the lyrical side.”
4. Moral Majority
“This is one of those records that I lent out and which never found its way back. I know who’s got it though. I also know where they live – well actually, the street got knocked down a few years ago (Talbot Street in Hanley – the one off Victoria Road, running from Fenton up to the bus station).”

3. Nazi Punks Fuck Off
“Disturbing cover art aside, this is one of the best, most hard-hitting, statement-making albums that the DK’s ever unleashed on the world…..if you want raw, you got it….”
2. Religious Vomit
“It had the combo album of In God We Trust and Plastic Surgery Disasters as the picture for this, so the 5 stars go towards that, as it is the greatest punk album of all time.”
