Insane Clown Posse Albums Ranked
Insane Clown Posse, often abbreviated as ICP, is an American hip hop duo composed of Violent J (Joseph Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope (originally 2 Dope; Joseph Utsler). Founded in Detroit in 1989, Insane Clown Posse performs a style of hardcore hip hop known as horrorcore and is known for its elaborate live performances. The duo has earned two platinum and five gold albums. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the entire catalog of the group has sold 6.5 million units in the United States and Canada as of April 2007.[1] The group has established a dedicated following called Juggalos numbering in the “tens of thousands”. The songs of Insane Clown Posse center thematically on the mythology of the Dark Carnival, a metaphoric limbo in which the lives of the dead are judged by one of several entities. The Dark Carnival is elaborated through a series of stories called Joker’s Cards, each of which offers a specific lesson designed to change the “evil ways” of listeners before “the end consumes us all”. The original lineup of Insane Clown Posse was John Utsler (John Kickjazz), Joe Bruce (Violent J) and Joey Utsler (Shaggy 2 Dope). John Utsler left before Carnival of Carnage was released in 1992. Here are all of Insane Clown Posse albums ranked.

10. Carnival Of Carnage (1992)
“I have to say all tracks in this album are good, but they sound like a totally different band if you listen this one and The Wraith, or even Great Milenko, Amazing Jeckel Brothers… This album sounds way more like a rap record. My favorite songs in this one are The Juggla, Red Neck Hoe, Is That You and Never Had It Made. For those of you who like guest appearances in albums, this one has Detroit rappers Kid Rock (now one of ICP’s enemies) and Esham (who has joined ICP’s label Psychopathic Records).”
9. Bizaar (2000)
“This album is incredible! It’s doesn’t have to be a Joker’s Card to hear some of ICP’s best stuff. This album has it all, some songs are hilarious and the ones that aren’t are totally rockin’. I didn’t know that this album was going to be this good. It is definitely one of the best records ICP has put out and is better than a couple of the Joker’s Cards. Trust me, every song on here will make ICP fans very happy.”
8. Bang! Pow! Boom! (2009)
“This album has an old school feel to it, I actually enjoyed it. The choruses on these songs are catchy. You’ll know what I mean when you hear them. It has nice packaging, it’s in one of those multi disc cases, just like Final Fantasy VII was. Amazon has the best prices on the internet, and at $13, you just cannot go wrong. I’m glad I never picked up the original releases to this, because I now have the ultimate, most complete one.”

7. Tunnel Of Love (1996)
“This CD is hilarious from start to finish! The best tracks are “Super Balls” & “Cotton Candy”. Each one will make you laugh, make you shiver, make you feel mixed emotions but all in all you’ll enjoy them if you can understand the messages in their songs. At first glance you think they are just a bunch of jokers with nothing but silly stuff to talk about but they actually have a really deep message behind most of their songs.”
6. The Terror Wheel (1994)
“”Terror Wheel” brings a more juvenile and fun spirit to the table, if you can believe that. But also offering a precursor of what was to come on their next joker card. Plus, it made “Dead Body Man” a local Detroit hit. The sound is still ominous but the samples and music are more varied. Making for a short but fun EP. “The Smog” is great fit for a B horror film or just a great idea for one. “I Stuck Her With My Wang” is a head shaking but perfect guilty pleasure. If you’ve broken down, and hidden “the Ringmaster” or “Riddle Box” behind your collection then there is room for this.”
5. The Ringmaster (1994)
“The Ringmaster is made up and powered by your own evil deeds, each person must face their Ringmaster when they die if they lived a wicked life the Ringmaster will be large and easily dominate the person but if one s life had minimum wickedly then his Ringmaster will be small and can be easily defeated. But the Ringmaster also comes for those who have escaped judgement so far on earth ,he comes to visit societies criminals in the middle of the night in the dead of night he comes for you.”

4. The Riddle Box (1995)
“This album has a special meaning to me and was the first iCP album I heard and purchased along with Shangri-la back in 2005. This album took a while to grow on me and I personally didn’t care for it the first couple listens but it eventually became one of my favorite albums of all time. It made me think slot about how I lived my life and the consequences of my actions adding up and determining where I went when I die.”
3. Forgotten Freshness Volumes 1 & 2 (1998)
“This is a compilation of songs that for some reason didn’t make an album or one-offs from holiday shows. All the tracks got mad flavor. From Hey Vato to Mental Warp the tracks don’t let up. I would have to say that these tracks stand out: SW Strangala, Hey Vato, OG Piggie Pie, Clown Luv, House of Wonders. but the rest is really cool too One of ICP’s most bizarre and wicked songs is on this Comp. Its called Mental Warp this was the stuff that got me into ICP its slow and the lyrics are like a nightmare on the beat and they don’t let up at all. Another dark track is called Dead Pumpkins which was a Halloween track given out at a Halloween show for free to anyone wearing Clown Paint at the show.”
2. The Amazing Jeckel Brothers (1999)
“The songs are all so good that it’s hard to point out the worst of them. ICP is like metal but “twiztid” around so that its metalrap. they are the best of the dark carnival. there are bands who are also good but not nearly as great as ICP who try to do the clown thing too like KMK and Twiztid. ICP is the craziest and most outrageously funny band to ever walk the planet.”
1. The Great Milenko (1997)
“1997’s “The Great Milenko” is undoubtedly an ICP masterpiece of horrid hexes and grisly gore. As the fourth Joker Card, this album is injected with seductive rap beats, grinding guitar riffs, a sobbing piano, and several twisted tales of the occult. Expanding their sound beyond the hip-hop borders, the demented duo chose to incorporate more melody into their works. They even start singing some of their chorus hooks. Indeed, this CD marks the creative peak of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope’s rhyming skills. Despite being sexually vulgar and outrageously obscene, the ICP’s lyrics are brilliant, supernatural narratives that question the idea of morality. And of course, only two more Joker Cards have to rise before the end consumes us all.”
