2. Electric Light, 2018
“I listened to the album after reading the reviews because although several critics did not like the more up-tempo sounding Bay I kind of liked the idea. I love the album and cannot stop playing it. It’s great to listen to on a sunny day with the top down. I really disagree with the comments that it is chaotic – seems very well organized and moving in the direction of someone who knows exactly where they are going.”
1. Chaos And The Calm, 2015
“From the wistful, resigned, reminiscences and pleas in the hit song, “Let It Go” to the hopeful, longing, excited, desperation of the lesser-known “Need The Sun To Break” James Bay’s expressive voice and phrasing help to really convey the emotions of the songs. He sounds just as genuine singing the confident, almost-swaggering, “If You Ever Want To Be In Love” as he does the tender, intimate “Incomplete”.
