7. Kiss: The Remix, 2013
āKISS is Carly Rae Jepsenās best album, Eā¢MOā¢TION is great but doesnāt hold a candle to KISS. call me maybe and good time which is some of the best and most popular of the early 2010s pop scene. itās a shame how underrated Carlyās KISS is.ā
6. Tug Of War, 2008
āThis album flew way under the radar. A nicely produced, lightweight folk-pop release with some wholesome tracks. Tug Of War, Tell Me, Sunshine all very strong. Can feel a little samey but at 31 minutes it doesnāt overstay its welcome.ā
5. Dedicated Side B, 2020
āItās actually insane to me how consistently good Carlyās output has been since 2015āsĀ EmotionĀ shook the pop scene amongst critics. As good as that albums Side B was, it was natural to get excited for the possibility of a Side B follow up to 2019āsĀ Dedicated. There are some absolute standout tracks on this album. Felt This Way, Stay Away, and Solo in particular immediately found homes on some of my āgo toā playlists for quick drives or when I need background noise for chores.ā

4. Kiss, 2012
āKiss, even by my estimations, was unexpected. Tug of War I could see being a bit of a mess, Carly wasnāt as young as some of the others coming up, but she was as inexperienced. Kiss being as good as it is, yeah it caught me off guard. Carlyās personality has always been infectious and Kiss has not-so-innocent, fun having party girl Carly at the front with much more modern, much more bouncy and frankly, just much better instrumentation. Kiss is the start of the classic Carly run, in my opinion. Letās get into it.ā
3. Dedicated, 2019
āThis album is the usual from Queen Jepsenā¦ phenomenal. Whilst there are perhaps fewer stand out tunes than Emotion, this probably stems from the consistency with which this album fires bop after bop at you. Every song is an earworm, and theyāll probably all line up to take it in turn to be your favorite.ā
2. Eā¢MOā¢TION: Side B, 2016
āThis EP is incredibly versatile in both production and lyricism compared to your average pop release, with Roses being incredibly dark compared to the bubblegum Carly we all know and love. Every track on here is amazingly good in its own right and it feels like a robbery to give this anything but a perfect score.ā
1. Eā¢MOā¢TION, 2015
āCarly Rae Jepsenās remarkable growth as an artist has become a cliche at this point. After the runaway success of Call Me Maybe, Carly Rae Jepsen found herself in a difficult position as an artist; she needed a follow up to her big hit of the summer that would solidify her status as a respectable pop talent, rather than just a one hit wonder many would boil down to a hit single. Her case wasnāt helped by the virality of Call Me Maybe attracting her a fair number of detractors, those who found her entire style of upbeat pop annoying and overplayed.ā
