7. Once Upon A Mind (2019)

“When I did listen to the album I was very very happy. So many tracks that immediately grabbed me. Monsters is probably one of my favorites but then I can’t say that any of the tracks I don’t like. The album itself is brilliant which is what we have come to expect from the world’s greatest ever singer-songwriter.”

6. Some Kind Of Trouble (2010)

“I like all of James Blunt’s work from the few light-hearted tunes like ‘Stay the Night’ to his darker offerings. While they are a bit derivative in their musical influences is lyrics are well-suited to the style and to his voice and he is the only artist I know of currently working in that way.”

5. The Afterlove (2017)

“The Afterlove is a mix of songs that have a relaxing feeling about them. He shows off his vocal ability in Don’t Give Me Those Eyes. It is a beautiful song that is really moving. The album contains explicit lyrics – fine by me but the title track Love Me Better is not for kids 🙂 I love the song though.”

4. Chasing Time: The Bedlam Sessions (2006)

“I love Back to Bedlam and this adds a new spin on the songs. The recording quality is top-notch and I never get tired of listening to it. If you’re a James Blunt fan, this is the live album to have. He has a beautiful voice. That is what makes him a great artist.”

3. Moon Landing (2013)

“The standout single, in my opinion, is also the first single released off the album: “Bonfire Heart”, a bouncy, feel-good song that I can listen to over and over again. Other really great cuts include: “Face the Sun”, “Satellites”, and “Postcards”. “Miss America”, written about Whitney Houston, is included as a studio cut as well as a live version. The live version is raw with an emotion not heard very often on pop albums”

2. All The Lost Souls (2007)

“James Blunt is a master musician. He writes or co-writes all the songs on this album. The songs are on the darker side but sung beautifully in his own unique fashion. He sounds like Leo Sayer, at times, but he definitely is his own man. The quality of music is balanced perfectly well, some best hits are present.”

1. Back To Bedlam (2004)

“This is a quality album, the more I play it the better it gets! Great poetry and storytelling, high with emotion, well-arranged musically, essentially with a guitar, keyboard, and voice(s).. simple yet very effective. The tracks “Your Beautiful” and “Goodbye my Lover” are already “hits” with more hits to come of this album I am sure!”
