Knives share their energetic new single ‘Happiness’
After an explosive run of form over the last few months, Bristol’s Knives have now delivered their hotly-tipped new EP ‘What We See In Their Eyes’, highlighted by its energetic focus track ‘Happiness’.
Channelling another heady dose of those blistering post-punk aesthetics they are known for, ‘Happiness’ stands as one of their most anthemic cuts to date. With its raw and driven textures layered throughout, they are definitely ones to keep a firm eye on for the months ahead as well.
Speaking about it, they said, “Happiness is about being stuck in a village mindset and not being able to break out of the societal norms that have been set in closed communities. Some of the ideas we see in these places are still stuck in the past and have left a mark on the thinking patterns of the younger generation. It’s a song driven by personal experiences of discrimination that members of our band have faced and how we react to these situations.”
