Lady A Albums Ranked
Lady A (formerly known as Lady Antebellum) is an American country music group formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006. The group is composed of Hillary Scott (lead and background vocals), Charles Kelley (lead and background vocals, guitar), and Dave Haywood (background vocals, guitar, piano, mandolin). Scott is the daughter of country music singer Linda Davis, and Kelley is the brother of pop singer Josh Kelley. The band abbreviated the name to “Lady A” in June 2020 amid the George Floyd protests in an attempt to blunt the name’s associations with slavery and the Antebellum South, inadvertently causing a dispute with Black gospel singer Anita White, who had already been using that same name for more than 20 years. Lady Antebellum also scored “Best Country Album” at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. By August 2013, the group had sold more than 12.5 million digital singles and 10 million albums in the United States. Here are all of Lady Antebellum Albums ranked.

8. On This Winter’s Night (2012)
“Lots of musicians eventually make a Christmas album – and most are pretty good. This one is incredible! With a full orchestra supporting them, Lady A has never sounded better, to me (and they are always great!). “All I want for Christmas” is absolutely beautiful.”
7. Heart Break (2017)
“This album starts out with the title track “Heart Break,” an upbeat song about giving yourself a break from relationships and enjoying being single. “You Look Good” is next on the album and is a fun, funky, and upbeat song that would be great to listen to with the windows down!”
6. 747 (2014)
“This is more determinedly up-beat than any other set of theirs and I enjoy it a lot. More rock than country, really, but that’s not really uncommon nowadays. Some tracks like ‘Just A Girl’ and ‘Damn You Seventeen’ still highlight the more complex abilities of the team to deliver compulsive tracks with a bit more depth, but others like ‘747’ and ‘Long Stretch Of Love’ are just fun.”

5. Ocean (2019)
“This group’s albums are always excellent and this album is no exception. They have perfected a group sound that is exceptional. It’s almost like, who cares what the words are, just enjoy the beautiful blending of the voices and the instruments.”
4. Golden (2013)
“I always love everything Lady A puts out there but this one is really fantastic. There is a great variety of songs, different tempos, upbeat ones, ballads, the way Charles and Hillary use their voices alone and together is amazing. The different stories or words in the songs all vary so much too but all have great meaning for both the younger and older crowd, at least I think so.”

3. Own The Night (2011)
“This record is equal parts forever-young, windows-down cruising tunes and dramatic ballads in the vein of “Need You Now.” Lady A has carved a brilliant sound for herself, lacing almost every track with searing melancholy that makes them distinctive from most country acts. The album artwork captures the sound quite exquisitely–a poignant, dark core posed against a backdrop of beautiful lightness.”
2. Lady Antebellum (2008)
“Each member of the group brings something extra to the group. The result is a fine first album by a group that people need to pay attention to. They have a unique vocal style (male/female lead) that interchange throughout each song. They write a lot of their own material on this cd. Which is something that you don’t really see everyday in some artists.”
1. Need You Now (2010)
“The three of them work so well together. I particularly like Hillary Scott’s voice and style. Her voice is quite unique and very crisp and clear and I can even understand her words. That is rare these days. Their country/pop sound is amazing.”
