Louie Blue explores emotional fallout on new single ‘In The Dark’

Finnish alt-pop artist Louie Blue returns with ‘In The Dark’, a deceptively buoyant track that channels retro grooves into something deeply personal. It’s the latest preview of Louie’s upcoming third studio album ‘Blood & Bones’, due September 19th.

Inspired by the film I, Tonya, ‘In The Dark’ grapples with betrayal and emotional disconnect, wrapping its darker lyrical themes in a playful, analogue-tinged soundscape. The result is a track that feels both cinematic and intimate, pairing hazy synths and live drums with layered vocal textures and a warm, vintage energy.

“I felt really moved by the film and wanted to write about the desensitization of abuse, how difficult it becomes to speak when you’re used to not being heard,” Louie explains.

Both emotionally resonant and rhythmically light on its feet, ‘In The Dark’ reveals another side to an artist who refuses to play it safe.
