10. Erotica (1992)

“I really love this album I had no idea that Madonna was even really this metaphorically poetic about sex or just talking about sex or having a sex life it really just gives me the impression that she doesn’t think that erotic is game or that sex is overrated. its just her way of laying on the line about how she really feels about being turned on and just hearing some of the singles and other tracks are also very nice. There is nobody else like Madonna.”

9. The Immaculate Collection (1990)

“The album is all that and a bag of chips. In fact the 17 hits on this album show why Madonna is the queen of pop music and why she has been such a big star since the 80’s. I do not think Madonna can top or produce better dance/pop music than she did in the 80’s and early 90’s, so she will always be remembered for these hits in my opinion. This album never gets old and stands its time. The music on this album is completely ageless and feel good music.”

8. Bedtime Stories (1994)

“Bedtime Stories has so many hits on its own right, such as the Bjork penned hit Bedtime Story to Secret to Human Nature. Survival and I’d Rather Be Your Lover featuring Michelle N’degechello also knock it out of the park. Way to go, Madonna…You survived life beyond Eroctica and the Sex Book!!! Although, I love them fondly…life does and had to go on…and what a way to move forward!!!”

7. Confessions On A Dance Floor (2005)

“”Confessions on a dance floor” is the album that brought Madonna right back to the dancefloor that she so righteously owned throughout the ’80s and ’90s. Revisiting many of her past works, the magnificence of this album lies in that, whilst it appears superficial, if one listens carefully, most of the tracks have something important to say, and they do this without preaching.”

6. Music (2000)

” Includes futuristic dance songs, pop songs and sit back and relax ballads. The lyrics in which Madonna co-wrote on each song are unique and excellent. I certainly appreciate an artist that writes their own music and/or has some artistic say in that. Some of these songs have a positive message especially “Gone” in which she sings “..nothing equals nothing.” Which is entirely true. While some might find this song a downturn, to me it is a work of art.”

5. Like A Virgin (1984)

“The album that brought Madonna out from the clubs of New York City and got her touring full time (along with the Beastie Boys who opened for her). Beginning with the memorable and catchy tune “Material Girl”, Like a Virgin is probably one of Madonna’s more precious albums and is definitely the best to come out during her heyday.”

4. Madonna (1983)

“This was a hungry artist who was trying to carve herself a piece of the pie. This album is a fun listen and takes me back to 80’s when I was a teen looking for a fun time and it delivers. It’s cool to watch artists evolve and grow, but I wish she would go back and re-visit this period. I believe a lot of fans would appreciate something like this. Just some stripped down and straight forward fun dance music. Not everything has to be controversial & avant garde.”

3. True Blue (1986)

“The album is Madonnas’ biggest selling studio album to date with over 30 million sold to date, now that’s a lot of records. It was an era when Madonna was on everyone’s lips, young, fresh, sexy. True Blue took her into Iconic Status. The album is fun, fun, fun with a touch of sentiment, fun all the way with a string of #1’s, Papa Don’t Preach (classic), Open your heart (sexy check out the video, its amazing that Madonna has maintained that body till today), Live to tell (my absolute favourite Madonna ballad till this day that ballad stands the test of time) True Blue (sweet, lovely sing-a-long pop song) and of course the incredible Spanish inspired La isla Bonita (another classic that just hits your soul, loooove that song) all # 1 world hits.”

2. Like A Prayer (1989)

“”Like A Prayer” is one of my favorite Madonna albums. On this album, she showed real artistic growth. She broadened her horizons considerably, both musically and thematically, including many personal revelations. The title song, with its spiritual references and gospel choir, remains one of Madonna’s best-known hits. “Express Yourself” became an anthem, and I’m sure that many people decided to follow her advice and “…make him express how he feels”. “Love Song”, a duet with Prince, is certainly odd, but it shows Madonna’s willingness to stretch and, contrary to popular belief, to share the spotlight with someone whose ego is at least as large as hers.”

1. Ray Of Light (1998)

“The lyrics are very personal, thoughtful and eloquent throughout, sharing a deep understanding of Madonna’s personal transformation and new maturity after her daughter was born. There is so much she wants to say in this album and boy does she ever. The music amplifies her messages so powerfully. A couple of tracks like Candy Perfume Girl and Skin have the usual sultry lyrics, but even with those, the music is phenomenal. Guitar work throughout is very crafty and edgy with the electronics. Rhythm tracks are bold and very creatively put together creating a lot of dance friendly tracks in addition to the melody and soul. This album really scores high in all areas of sound, composition, arrangements, melody, rhythm and lyrics. Hardly any weaknesses. To me, it is a masterpiece. This is a must for audiophiles and a must to hear on good headphones. Simply brilliant.”
