Meagre Martin return with their anthemic new single ‘Malcolm’
Hot off the back of releasing their highly-praised debut album ‘Gut Punch’ last year, Germany’s Meagre Martin have now reemerged onto the scene to deliver their anthemic comeback single ‘Malcolm’.
Bringing back more of that raw and driven alt-rock aesthetic they have been building for themselves over the years, ‘Malcolm’ sees them returning to the fold with one of their most explosive efforts yet. With its broad and immersive textures, progressive direction, and thunderous riffs throughout, it feels like 2024 is already set to become another big year for the trio.
Speaking about the new track, they said, “We grew up watching Malcolm in the Middle; something about it has always felt like home. The financial instability the parents face feels very familiar, yet the vibrancy they portray resonates. Malcolm’s struggle to climb out of generational trauma and poverty is relatable. This song embraces a different vibe than our previous releases, delivering a more powerful, guitar-driven sound that echoes the spirit of rebellion and resilience in the lyrics.”
