Murphy’s Law is an American hardcore punk band from New York City, formed in 1982. While vocalist Jimmy Gestapo remains the only founding member of the band, the line-up has consisted of numerous musicians who have performed with a diverse selection of musical acts across multiple genres, such as Skinnerbox, Danzig, The Bouncing Souls, Mucky Pup, Dog Eat Dog, Hanoi Rocks, Agnostic Front, Warzone, Cro-Mags, D Generation, New York Dolls, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Slackers, Thursday, Skavoovie and the Epitones, and Glen Campbell. Over the course of their career, Murphy’s Law has released five albums, the last of which was released in 2001. Here are all of Murphy’s Law albums ranked.

3. The Best Of Times (1991)

“The Best Of Times” does nothing to dispel this perception of the band. They continue with their tradition of at least 2 tracks per album about their beloved herb. One of them is actually good. “Big Spliff” is kind of a psychedelic punk track with a fun groove. The other track, album closer “Hemp For Victory”, is just the band fucking around for about a minute.”

2. Back With A Bong! (1989)

“If you never saw Murphy’s Law back in the 1980’s I genuinely feel sorry for you. Their shows were the most fun you could have with your clothes on. These shows were Bacchanalian in the truest sense of the word. It is a rare thing for a band’s sophomore album to eclipse their first album. Considering what an exceptional album their first record made their second shine even more.”
