My Pet Fossil kick off new era with defiant punk blast ‘Michael P. Fossil’

Sacramento trio My Pet Fossil return with ‘Michael P. Fossil’, the first taste of their forthcoming album Live My Valley Life, delivering a sharp-edged punk anthem that trades California’s postcard image for something far more authentic.

Built on driving guitars, unapologetic attitude and direct songwriting, ‘Michael P. Fossil’ introduces an alter ego that embodies the exhaustion, frustration and resilience of trying to survive as an independent artist on the modern West Coast. Rather than celebrating sunshine and escapism, the band confronts the realities of soaring living costs, relentless hustle and the determination required to keep creating without outside backing.

Formed in 2021 by Julian Hall, Ryan Patrick Corr and Eric Frankenstein, My Pet Fossil have developed a sound rooted in honesty, urgency and emotional weight. Their songs tackle the uncomfortable corners of everyday life while searching for moments of hope and meaning beneath the noise.

‘Michael P. Fossil’ captures that philosophy perfectly, pairing blistering energy with an unfiltered perspective that feels both deeply personal and widely relatable. As the opening chapter of Live My Valley Life, the single establishes My Pet Fossil as a band unafraid to challenge expectations, embracing grit over glamour and substance over illusion.
