Nameless Friends showcase new album ‘The Quiet Part, Loudly’ with defiant lead single ‘Lungs’
Toronto collective Nameless Friends have released their eagerly awaited second album The Quiet Part, Loudly.
Blending theatrical rock with punk urgency, the band continue to evolve their genre-defying sound, fusing elements of glam, prog, folk and protest music. The new record marks their first collaboration with engineer Nyles Spencer, helping shape a project that balances raw spontaneity with expansive production.
Lead single ‘Lungs’ offers a powerful preview, building from a slow burn into a distortion-heavy climax. The track explores themes of chronic illness and vulnerability, incorporating real heartbeat recordings from band members to create a visceral sonic layer.
Across the album, Nameless Friends tackle topics including identity, systemic injustice and personal transformation, while maintaining the energetic, irreverent spirit that defined their debut Blasphemy.
