Nation Songs Ranked
Nation is the eighth studio album by Brazilian metal band Sepultura, released in 2001 through Roadrunner Records. Nation features guest appearances from artists such as Hatebreed singer Jamey Jasta, Dead Kennedys singer Jello Biafra, Ill Niño singer Cristian Machado, Ratos de Porão frontman João Gordo, and Apocalyptica. According to the official site, a video for “One Man Army” was scheduled to be filmed at the end of August 2001. However, due to a lack of support from Roadrunner Records, the video was never made. Sepultura blamed Roadrunner for not promoting the album and left for SPV in 2002. Here are all of Nation songs ranked.

10. Valtio
“Probably Sepultura’s most beautiful song. It’s all orchestral and classical guitar and sounds like something from a movie soundtrack. A very moving song and an excellent way to end a CD (and also an excellent way to open their live shows, as they do so with this song).”
9. Sepulnation
“Sepulnation” I cannot help but be compelled to blast it as loud as possible. It is a classic track in their catalogue. I’m still trying to associate the songs with the titles because I just listen to the CD straight without looking at the tracklisting but there are some really beautiful moments.”
8. Water
“Not a bad album by Sepultura. With this album Sepultura was finally finding their way and developing a new sound after Max left. Derrick Green does a fantastic job on this album (like everyone he is one).”

7. Revolt
“Revolt”: at first I was mad because this song is only about :55 long but it’s killer, it and “Human Cause” are the two short thrash songs on this record and they’re both great.”
6. Human Cause
“Human Cause”: if one word had to describe this song I would choose “vicious” to be that word. Jamey Jasta (of Hatebreed fame) adds his now-infamous bark of a vocal to the first verse, which sounds killer.”
5. One Man Army
“One Man Army”: I didn’t like this song upon first listen but now I really enjoy it, it’s unlike anything Sepultura have ever done before (especially with the clean vocals)”

4. Tribe to a Nation
“Tribe To A Nation”: I thought this would be mindless reggae and some of the lyrics I don’t really like, but the main riff here is very heavy and also very evil. Love it!”
3. Vox populi
“GREAT main riff and heavy part toward the end, and a very energetic chorus. I felt this was one of Sepultura’s most stirring albums-they support the belief and need to make a better world, a Utopia if you will, in the lyrics. You can feel that they believe it, in every word and riff and drum kick.”
2. Uma cura
“A little slow to grab ahold of but good, it’s very slow and brooding. The sound is cleare heavier and more meaningful lyric wise then it ever was before. And as stated before by another reviewer if sepultura keeps putting out albums of this calibur and everyone will forget Max and his wanna be sepultura band Soulfly.”
1. Saga
“Another very heavy song, but the main riff is the same as the intro riff to “Hatred Aside” from Against, however some notes have been taken out. (I could be wrong; this is what it sounds like to me). Very fast and energetic though.”
