Orgasmatron Songs Ranked

Orgasmatron is the seventh studio album by British rock band Motörhead, released on 9 August 1986 via GWR, their first with the label. It is the band’s first album to feature two guitarists Phil “Wizzö” Campbell and Michael “Würzel” Burston, and also the only full Motörhead studio album to feature Pete Gill on the drums, although all three also played on the new tracks recorded for the compilation album No Remorse, recorded and released in 1984. This is also the band’s first album featuring a four-piece band lineup, instead of a usual trio. Here are all of Orgasmatron’s songs ranked.

9. Nothing Up My Sleeve

“Nothing Up My Sleeve is slightly faster than the previous track but still manages to be very groovy and fun to dance to. It’s also one of the bands most underrated tracks, since most motörhead fans tend to ignore most of the tracks on the album. The drums sound even better than the previous track and so does the guitar. Lemmy’s vocals are also great as always. A pretty solid track overall.”

8. Doctor Rock

“Doctor Rock sounds more like a rock and roll song to be honest. Nevertheless, it’s still extremely groovy (maybe this album was an influence for groove metal?) and catchy. Probably one of the catchiest metal songs I’ve ever heard. The guitar and drums are great like always.”

7. Ridin’ with the Driver

“Ridin’ With The Driver is another really intense one. You know, I’m starting to notice a pattern. The songs are slow at first, then the song that comes after is really intense. It’s one of those things that’s great about this album. The drums are probably my favourite part about the song. They start the song off with a sick and nasty solo and the guitar during the chorus is also pretty sick. Overall a really intense and brilliant song.”

6. Ain’t My Crime

“Ain’t My Crime is faster than the previous 2 tracks and it’s my personal favourite on the album. It sounds just like thrash metal and that’s a really awesome thing because I’m a massive fan of thrash metal. The guitar work is incredible and the drums fit the music perfectly. Do I have to explain Lemmy’s vocals? They are great like always!”

5. Mean Machine

“Mean Machine is probably the heaviest one on the album. The guitar and drums are all crazy and insane and it’s also one of those songs that’s hard not to headbang to. From here now on, I’m not going to talk about Lemmy’s vocals as you KNOW they’re amazing and I do too! overall a really amazing song.”

4. Claw

“Claw is a pretty intense one. This is the one where Lemmy screams at the top of his lungs. You’d expect his vocals one this one to be rather crusty and annoying but they’re actually not. They actually fit the music really well. The guitar and drums are great like always and so is the bass which you can’t really hear but on this one you can. Overall a great track.”

3. Built for Speed

“Built for Speed is slightly slower than the previous track and is a good song to listen to while driving. The guitar fits the mood so well and so the drums. An absolutely perfect song that should definitely be played in one of the fast and furious movies.”

2. Deaf Forever

“Deaf Forever is a great way to start off the album because it’s heavy but not too fast or too slow. The drums are really cool and the guitar work sounds absolutely fantastic. Lemmy’s vocals are also really fun to listen to as well. The bass is also in time with the music as well. Which is really saying something because the bass is not one of my favourite instruments. Overall, a really great track.”

1. Orgasmatron

“Orgasmatron is one of the best Motörhead closing tracks of all time. It’s easy to get into and Lemmy’s vocals are slightly creepy and fun at the same time (Okay, okay, okay. Before you get mad, I know I said I won’t talk about Lemmy’s vocals anymore as they are always amazing. But they were too hard not to notice here) The guitar and drums are also extremely fitting and are played really well. Overall a fantastic closing track.”
