Outpacer deliver their soaring alt-rock anthem ‘Always Late’

Milwaukee-based alternative rock quartet Outpacer continue to build momentum with the release of ‘Always Late’, a powerful new single that perfectly showcases the band’s knack for balancing atmosphere, emotion and explosive guitar-driven energy.

Beginning with shimmering layers of guitar and a slow-burning sense of anticipation, the track gradually unfolds into a huge, cathartic chorus packed with melodic punch and emotional release. Dreamlike textures and expansive instrumentation create a sense of tension throughout, before giving way to towering riffs and an unforgettable hook.

Formed in 2023, Outpacer bring together musicians with decades of shared history. Frontman Chris Esenberg, bassist Andrew Stringer and drummer Bryan Nieman have been making music together in various forms since their school days, while guitarist Denver Dalley adds experience from the Omaha indie scene, where he co-founded Desaparecidos.

That chemistry is evident throughout ‘Always Late’, a track that effortlessly shifts between introspective indie-rock and larger-than-life alternative rock intensity. Combining spacious soundscapes with a powerful rhythmic foundation, the single highlights a band confidently carving out their own space within the modern guitar music landscape.
