10. The Very Best Of Paul Anka

“Paul Anka always seems to reach into your feelings with his songs. Most of his hits were slow moving and emotional to dance to. Listening to him now brings up so many feelings and wonderful times in my life.”

9. The Greatest Hits

“This is really good collection of Anka’s songs.First his song I’ve heard is from this album. I was very surprised. I thought oldies are boring and for teenager in 21st century it was music from an “ice age”.

8. Diana

“Paul Anka’s music is fine for me. Stylish and star-studded, where melodies play a special role. Anka interprets the text competently. The band doesn’t goof around for nothing, but keeps the basic style playing. A really good album with no weaknesses.”

7. Anka At The Copa

“Anka at the copa is a good record.its the soundtrack of paul performing at the copa cabana. i loved it! highly reccomended.”

6. Anka

“Opening track, “Bring the Wine” is fantastic. Why wasn’t this a single? Nothing else reaches that height, but it’s safe to say that the two hits are the worst songs here. On “Love Is a Lonely Song”, our former teen idol tries to go all Barry White on that ass.”

5. 30th Anniversary Collection: His All Time Greatest Hits

“Great songs with quality sounds, just as good or even better than the vinyl records. I enjoy it very much listening to this Paul Anka 30th Anniversary Collection Hits All Time Greatest Hits CD, which is remanufactured very well. It surely brings back good memories of the past. This was a very good purchase and very satisfied with it.”

4. Paul Anka’s 21 Golden Hits

“Not ever hearing anything from him before, I have no idea whether these are re-recordings or not but it’s a great mix of songs. It’s even more impressive when you consider he wrote/produced his own stuff and that these 21 ‘hits’ came out when he was only 21 years old.”

3. Rock Swings

“This really is a hard one to rate. I’ve always hated cover-versions which don’t add anything or little to the original. Paul Anka here does the opposite. You can debate whether he has done this album to gain wider audience… He is after all a living legend. This album is funny as hell – and I trust that was Paul’s intention from the very beginning. These versions serve as fine alternatives to well-known songs. Many versions here miss much of the original atmosphere and emotion.”

2. Classic Songs – My Way

“Genius is often freely & easily used in the world of sport , music etc. In the case of Paul Anka it is never over-stated as the man has created a back catalogue of gems that has few equals. From pop classic Diana to his modern day covers such as The Killers amazing Mr Brightside a good overview is included on this golden anniversary album. Along the way Paul has wrote for others Buddy Holly, Frank Sintra, Tom Jones amongst them .”

1. Paul Anka

“Paul Anka still has his great voice, and the wonderful ability to carry a tune in the classic sense of a polished stage performer. It is fun hearing these songs sung in a jazzy interpretation with a swinging big band. Thanks to Paul for taking chances (again), instead of doing the safe thing.”
