10. Hold On (The World from the Side of the Moon, 2012)

“This is an absolutely amazing debut album from Phillip Phillips…it’s actually hard to believe, when listening to the songs, that this is his first attempt at releasing an album. He’s far from the usual ‘American Idol’ contestants…he’s in a league of his own.”

9. Wanted Is Love (The World from the Side of the Moon, 2012)

“If you are a fan, you will enjoy this. The more you listen, the better it gets. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates the very individual voice and huge talent of Phillip Phillips!”

8. Drive Me (The World from the Side of the Moon, 2012)

“If you liked him on American Idol, you should like this. He stays very true to his style, which I would describe as kind of Dave Matthews-y with a twist.”

6. A Fool’s Dance (The World from the Side of the Moon, 2012)

“Phillip Phillips has a voice that has won many people over. He has stayed true to his beliefs and is the same person that we all watched and really enjoyed on American Idol.”

5. Man On The Moon (The World from the Side of the Moon, 2012)

“Only one little complaint. It always seems like he needs “mixing” that doesn’t run over his voice. More of him raw! And I like individual instruments, but not the occasional flood of drums that drowns him out a little. But this guy is someone to watch! So awesome.”

4. Tell Me a Story (The World from the Side of the Moon, 2012)

“I like this artist and enjoy both the generosity of the sentiment and the quality of his guitar work. However, I miss two things in his albums. First and foremost, I fell in love with his growl, that gravel in his voice. It seems like he has taken voice lesson and lost his growl. “

2. Home (The World from the Side of the Moon, 2012)

“Yup this song is amazing and the lyrics and just Phillip Phillips! The other songs are really good but I like this song the best.. Especially the chorus of ” oh” Love it!”

1. Gone, Gone, Gone (The World from the Side of the Moon, 2012)

“Every time I heard it I would like a different section. On 2 separate occasions I had Soundhound tell me what it was. When it would start playing on the radio, I would think “I like this song.” Finally put all the pieces together and realized that each of the elements I liked were part of the same song. It has become one of my super favorites. My only regret is that it is not as danceable as some other songs – I like to ballroom dance. But, not every song has to be a great dance number. This is a terrific song and I enjoy it several times a day.”
