5. August 26

“Several things about “August 26” I cannot get over, the first being the haunting opening “Never Understand,” where Malone’s first verse carries a lot of weight in the way the lines roll off his tongue and the melody creates an ominous aura of enchantment (?) with his life of Molly, Xans, drink, and plans. Larry June’s dazed chorus assists greatly in creating this moody, lofty feel for a song that could’ve been another throwaway had it used the EXACT same lyrics and that’s what I find beautiful.”

4. Twelve Carat Toothache

“This is Post’s smallest track list but it’s one of the most impactful. Sure you have your songs that talk about being rich or fortunate and getting women (Cooped Up and Insane) but it’s far outweighed by powerful tracks that translate a message from Post.”

3. Stoney

“The first time I heard “White Iverson” I thought of a one-hit wonder white dude. Post Malone has developed drastically since then, creating an amazing alternative hip-hop sound like no other. From ballads such as “I Fall Apart” and “Congratulations” which deliver amazing production to hits like “Too Young” and “Go Flex” which give a more mellow vibe, this album has basically everything it needed to have to shape a fantastic debut.”

2. Beerbongs & Bentleys

“Post Malone is unapologetically himself on this record, switching genres and making similes at the drop of a hat. Beerbongs & Bentleys falls short of the mark a few times (particularly with “Zack and Codeine” and “Candy Paint”) but comes through with a great number of classic hip hop/pop bangers (“Stay” and “Paranoid”, to name a few), proving he deserves his elevated status within these genres.”

1. Hollywood’s Bleeding

“Listening to “Hollywood’s Bleeding” by Post Malone, the first thing I really was intrigue by was the audio quality and the best of his music in this album. It was very upbeat and would have me blast icing this album on a late night drive. The audio quality was immaculate, however I mean there are parts that I couldn’t really understand his lyrics although that might be because he is rapping. The flow between each song in this album is pretty fluent, sometimes when listening to the songs I wouldn’t even know a new song started, which is a positive because they go together like Pb&J. I would say this album has a pretty solid theme, the songs are somewhat correspondent to one another with the lyrics.”
