Rye Coalition honour Steve Albini with explosive ‘Wingwalker’ cover

Jersey City punk legends Rye Coalition are back with ‘Paid In Full’, their first new release in over 20 years, out July 18 via Ernest Jenning Record Co. The 7-inch features a fierce cover of Shellac’s ‘Wingwalker’, honouring the late Steve Albini.

True to form, Rye Coalition deliver the track with no frills and no reinterpretation, just raw, unfiltered energy exactly as it should be played. Each copy is handmade, stamped, and painted, with all profits supporting Letters Charity, co-founded by Albini and Heather Whinna to aid families in poverty.

A limited run of 500 copies will be available (including 100 on ink-splatter vinyl). With ‘Wingwalker’, Rye Coalition pay tribute to a towering figure and reaffirm their legacy as underground icons who always stay true to the spirit of punk.
