Seeb Songs Ranked
Seeb is a Norwegian EDM record production duo made up of Simen Eriksrud and Espen Berg. Their name is made up of the initials (first letter of given name and surname) of the original duo. Before adopting the name Seeb, Eriksrud and Berg worked together as producers and songwriters for several Norwegian acts including Bertine Zetlitz, D’Sound, and Donkeyboy, mostly under the name Simen & Espen. They also produced and co-wrote a track on Kiesza’s breakthrough album Sound of a Woman. In February 2020 Seeb was nominated for the “Pop Group of the Year Award” at the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy Awards, Spellemannprisen; however, the Award Ceremony has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. 3. I Took a Pill in Ibiza (Seeb Remix) (538 Hitzone 76, 2016)
“I feel like this song represents him taking the blue pill.. people may think he chose the red pill but he chose to be comforted knowing that partying and woman weren’t going to make him happy. If you listen to the lyrics closely you realize how sad this song is and the drugs are just making him not go through reality to face these feelings.”
2. Breathe (Breathe, 2016)
“I can’t describe how much I love this song. I either listen to it because it makes me think about the Universe, life, the meaning of it or reminds me of that great night while I was on vacation at a small coast, away from the cities, lights and noise, stargazing laid at the roof of a little hotel at a sky full of stars… Soo many stars, Ι even saw a couple falling… It’s not like those booty pop songs that are forgotten a month later. This is one of those rare songs that stay with you..”
1. Hymn for the Weekend (Hymn for the Weekend, 2016)
“If summertime had a theme it would be this. Everything about this song feels like summer. Sunshine, breeze, beach, road trips, drinking, smoking, laughter, friends, late night. I love both the original and this EDM version. Original is Coldplay sound while EDM version is a pump-up type of tune”
