Seether Albums Ranked
Seether is a South African hard rock band founded in 1999 in Pretoria, Gauteng. The band originally performed under the name Saron Gas until 2002, when they moved to the United States and changed it to Seether to avoid confusion with the deadly chemical known as sarin gas. Seether gained mainstream popularity in 2002 with their US Active Rock number-one single “Fine Again”. Their success was sustained in 2004 with the single “Broken”, which peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. They have experienced continued success with number one hits on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, such as “Remedy”, “Fake It”, “Country Song”, “Words as Weapons”, and “Let You Down”. The band currently consists of lead vocalist/guitarist Shaun Morgan, bassist Dale Stewart, drummer John Humphrey, and guitarist Corey Lowery. Seether has undergone several changes since their formation in 1999, with vocalist/guitarist Shaun Morgan and bassist/vocalist Dale Stewart, being the only constant members while John Humphrey has been their longtime drummer since joining the band in 2003. 8. Fragile (2000)
“Seether’s first incarnation of Disclaimer (IMO that essentially what this is) but with half of the album not present on Disclaimer so if you want more seether and you haven’t gotten this yet i’d highly recommend this album but it doesn’t hurt to listen to the tracks to make sure some of them are to your liking first.”
7. Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray (2011)
“As always, wonderful to listen to when you’re angry with the world. Beautifully balanced lyrics between the heavier tracks and the ballads. Very distinctive sound. This is especially highlighted on the DVD, where the band play a completely unplugged set. However, this did put me off seeing them live when they toured the UK, as the bombastic energy and sheer versatility of instrumentation was absent. I probably won’t watch the DVD again. Otherwise, album recommended.”
6. Disclaimer (2002)
“Unbelievable tracks on this CD, including “Fine Again”, “Driven Under”,” Sympathetic”, “Fade Away” and my new favorite “Broken”. I can’t stop listening to this CD. You don’t get sick of hearing it, just need to hear it all the time. Seether is my new favorite band. They have struck a chord, and I predict will be a huge success. I can understand why SONY loved them as soon as they heard the CD.”
5. Poison the Parish (2017
“Brilliant album. Not a single bad song on this CD. Heavy guitars but also some amazing solo’s. Very well executed lyrics and very relatable too! Seether have helped rock music survive in a dying industry.”

4. Isolate And Medicate (2014)
” I’ve been listening to Seether from the very beginning, and this is by far one of my favorite albums. They always manage to make each album different from the last. A lot of bands make the same album over and over again and every song sounds basically the same. Seether is not one of those bands. They manage to stay true to themselves while making every album unique. I love Shaun’s vocals, he’s always as good live as he is on the album.”
3. Disclaimer II (2004)
“Bought this because the wife and I paid for a VIP meet and greet with seethe in San Francisco – the CD was/is EXCELLENT! “
2. Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces (2007)
“I had heard of Seether but never really taken much notice of them. I was really surprised at how good they are, not what I expected but in a good way.”
1. Karma and Effect (2005)
“I had this album a long time ago but lost it. It’s one of my favorite albums not just of Seether but of all time. Every song is really good and memorable. Also, at the time of posting this review, you can’t get this on Google Play yet.”
