5. MTV Live from the Hard Rock (2005)

“These live renderings of Simple Plan’s earliest hit songs are closer to hard rock than the punk rock originals available on their studio albums. I for one like these versions of the songs better than the studio recordings, and unlike many other live CDs – this one’s sound quality is excellent – almost as good as when recorded in a closed studio. If you love Simple Plan, then you’ll enjoy these revamped versions, and if you didn’t like Simple Plan before, then take a listen to these renderings with an open mind and you may discover your new favorite band.”

4. Get Your Heart On! (2011)

“This is definitely one of my favorite albums of 2011. The album is fun and energetic. But there are still some slower songs such as “Gone Too Soon” and “Astronaut.” I’ll be honest and say I hadn’t listened to Simple Plan in years, but this album made me fall in love with their music all over again. Get Your Heart On! is full of great collaborations including Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low, Rivers Cuomo, Natasha Bedingfield, and K’naan.”

3. Simple Plan (2008)

“Rock, Metal, Punk Rock, edgy Rock ballads, Simple Plan can do them all. Great album the bad experiments with a couple of different sounds with this album. I liked every song on this album. Uplifting metal songs like When I’m Gone, and Take My hand, there they are more Punk rock sound with My Generation and You love is a Lie. it also contains the live version of Shut up. Loved this album.”

2. No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls (2002)

“It’s obvious that lead singer Pierre has some issues with his family. The utterly depressing, tear jerking ‘Perfect’ is one of the saddest songs I’ve ever heard. But the rest of the CD blares out happy-go-lucky guitar riffs, juvenile lyrics, and just plain fun. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting these talented guys, and that is really what they’re all about”

1. Still Not Getting Any… (2004)

“Simple Plan’s second original CD, “Still Not Getting Any . . . ” gives its legion of fans no letdown after the long wait for the second CD. If anything, it is an improvement on the first. Fans at their shows have already been introduced to “Welcome to My Life” and “Shut Up!”, both good, catchy songs just packed with the adolescent angst that is SP’s trademark. “Shut Up!” in particular, shows the band’s knack for combining downbeat lyrics with upbeat tunes, in a song which I interpret as a teenager’s thoughts while being lectured by his parents.”
