Stoned Statues bring festival-ready firepower on new single ‘Sorrow’
Finnish alternative metal trio Stoned Statues return with a huge new statement in the form of ‘Sorrow’, an explosive single released ahead of their highly anticipated third album Nothing Is Ever Over, arriving June 12 via Sakara Records.
Packed with massive riffs, thunderous grooves and an irresistible sense of momentum, ‘Sorrow’ finds the Tampere outfit delivering one of their most immediate and infectious tracks to date. While its title may suggest darkness, the song ultimately carries a message of perseverance, reminding listeners that even the heaviest burdens eventually become easier to bear.
Blending hard-hitting alternative metal with classic rock swagger, the track showcases the band’s unique ability to balance crushing heaviness with memorable hooks and uplifting energy. It’s a combination that feels tailor-made for summer festival stages and demonstrates why Stoned Statues continue to stand apart from their peers.
Comprised of Jenna Kosunen, Markus Hakala and Allu Tanskanen, the trio have spent recent years refining their sound and pushing their songwriting further than ever before. Drawing influence from acts such as System of a Down, Slipknotand Rage Against the Machine, while embracing melodic ideas inspired by Kate Bush and Björk, the band have crafted a sound entirely their own.
