20. Some Say (Chuck, 2004)

“This song is a perfect representation of growing up and searching for independence: “You don’t seem to realize that I can do this on my own”. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who couldn’t relate to this song at some stage in their life.”

19. Handle This (All Killer No Filler, 2001)

“Awesome guitar solo. great heartfelt lyrics. And differs from the other material on all killer no filler. Although the other tracks on this record are great, this song is excellent”

18. Pain for Pleasure (All Killer No Filler, 2001)

“I love all of their songs but this one is unique and extremely good. Totally in love with it! Such a great song and tribute to their metal influence”

17. Makes No Difference (Half Hour of Power, 2000)

“The Hell Song is also about the same friend who got HIV. ON the Hell Song Deryck says: “It’s one of my favorite songs on the record, it’s about this girl I used to date who I’ve known forever. Just last Christmas she found that she was HIV positive, and it was so brutal. She doesn’t sleep around. She’s only had two or three boyfriends and one of them used to cheat on her all the time, and then he got it and gave it to her. It’s the heaviest thing that’s happened in our group of friends.” -Deryck Whibley”

16. 88 (Chuck, 2004)

“It has the best riff and the way the song goes up and down is just perfect. The tapping in the solo is awesome. People should appreciate the instrumental aspect of the song not just the lyric!”

15. No Reason (Chuck, 2004)

“This song has a classic pop-punk introduction riff and the verse is really groovy and there is an awesome catchy chorus. And this is without talking about the meaningful lyrics of this song. I also like that its sound is typic from the early 2000’s”

14. Motivation (All Killer No Filler, 2001)

“Motivation, such an aggrevation, situations don’t know how to take them, inspiration.. Etc. Awesome song, but let’s not argue about which sum 41 song is the best. All of them are amazing!”

13. Nothing on My Back (All Killer No Filler, 2001)

“This song is like, the anthem of every teen. Its because a lot of times teens feel so bad about things, and they get depressed, but they cant really pinpoint a certain aspect or aspects of their life and say, “this is why i’m sad”. because a lot of it is the time period and the setting, like socalsum41fan, the pressure in school is huge, and people are changing and trying to fit in so its just a really hard time.”

12. Underclass Hero (Underclass Hero, 2007)

“My favorite Sum 41 song changes every few days, but this song is so amazing, it cheers me up, motivates me to be in a band, and just overall makes me feel awesome.”

11. Screaming Bloody Murder (Screaming Bloody Murder, 2011)

“The song is so hardcore and edgy. I love it and LOVE the fact that Sum 41 has gone back to the harder stuff instead of what was on Underclass Hero. Most of their stuff is really awesome and rebellious, but this song was so much darker and so much more mature and intense.”

10. Over My Head (Does This Look Infected?, 2002)

“I like this song, it really speaks to me. When i am doing any sport or just mucking around on the computer. it really inspires me just to sing along and rock out. Peace”

9. There’s No Solution (Chuck, 2004)

“The tune in this is absolutely brilliant. Chorus of this song is getting better n better till the end. This song has a deep meaning and will make one an instant fan of sum 41… Greatest song!… Awesome!”

8. Walking Disaster (Underclass Hero, 2007)

“Everything about this track is amazing. Amazing vocals from Whibley and Cone, and simple yet catchy guitar parts. What stands out the most, however, are the lyrics. They simply touched me, and I could easily find myself, and a lot of other people, relating it to my life. If you’ve been living under a rock for who knows how long, give it a listen – you won’t regret it!”

7. We’re All to Blame (Chuck, 2004)

“This song just screams energy and intensity, and is a song that REALLY hits hard about the corruption of greed and the terrible nature of war. They went all out on full force with this song, and to think that it was the last addition to the album. (“Noots”, the B-Side track for “We’re All To Blame” was originally intended for the album, but they decided that “We’re All To Blame” would be a better fit, and that turned out to be absolutely correct.)”

6. The Hell Song (Does This Look Infected?, 2002)

“Best song ever made in my opinion. There’s nothing bad to be said about the song, it makes you feel how no other song makes you feel”

5. With Me (Underclass Hero, 2007)

“Beautiful acoustic, great tune, and the meaning of the song is deep. Total eargasm in summary. The emotion in the vocals is unbelievable. It’s an easy song to relate to.”

4. In Too Deep (All Killer No Filler, 2001)

“Awesome song without a doubt. I just loved the song. It’s just kinda different you know. Still, packs some punch in it. So, definitely worthy of hearing.”

3. Still Waiting (Does This Look Infected?, 2002)

“I love that it perfectly encapsulates their melodic hardcore sound. Some of their more pop-punk songs were okay, but it was always this sound that made the band great!”

2. Fat Lip (All Killer No Filler, 2001)

“Come on the chorus of this song is amazing and it’s cool how everybody sings a little bit in this song and the music video is awesome. There’s a bunch of good songs from sum 41 but this song is great”

1. Pieces (Chuck, 2004)

“There is a reason this song is number one on this list. Pieces will always hold a place in the listeners heart. It is beautiful, and definitely Sum41’s masterpiece. The guitar riff is top notch, the lyrics are amazing, and Deryck’s voice is soothing yet powerful. A clear presentation of emotion.”
