Supercaan offer up their immersive new single ‘Nagoro’

Having already turned out a flurry of broad and tantalising efforts these last few years, emerging outfit Supercaan recently delivered their eagerly-awaited new album ‘A Tiger Walks The Streets’, featuring their immersive new single ‘Nagoro’.

Honing more of that rich and tender indie-rock aesthetic they are known for, ‘Nagoro’ adds another vital layer to their already captivating catalogue. With its rich and atmospheric textures layered throughout, this new one will wash over you and leave you feeling renewed from start to finish.

‘Nagoro’ shares its name with an eerie rural Japanese village where faded handmade scarecrow dolls have replaced a population drawn to the brighter lights of the cities. “I saw that village as a metaphor for the cost of progress,” says lyricist Tom Whitfield. “The tiger represents the creeping threat of modernisation and the sense that our place in the world is fragile.”
