10. The Next Step Is Love

“These Elvis Legacy Editions are must have for the serious or even casual Elvis fan! The sound is just amazing…his amazing voice and his ass kicking TCB band just blare out of your speakers! I have this one, Elvis Is Back, From Memphis and his first album Elvis. They are great and come with brilliant liner notes and great photos.”

8. You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me

“If you’re a guy and you buy this album, invite your girlfriend over to listen to it. By the time it finishes she just might like you even more than she did before. If you’re a lady and you buy this album; when you’re done listening to it, you’ll probably wish you had dated Elvis.”

7. Mary in the Morning

“Mary In The Morning is an excellent, excellent love song. I recently heard an acoustic version on YouTube with photos in a slide format. I wish that I could find this acoustic version on an album because Elvis’ voice is outstanding. Sometimes I wish that Felton and RCA had not buried his vocals underneath the orchestra and backup singers.”

6. Twenty Days and Twenty Nights

“The result is one of Elvis’ best ever efforts (and that’s saying something). As good (or should i say great!) as they were, his albums of the 50s and 60s do not match up to this extraordinary effort, from a singer who had always been extraordinary since the start.”

5. Patch It Up

“During 1970, Elvis began to enjoy the fame that by that time had begun to dwindle. The 60’s were somewhat unkind to him and although he still had some of his appeal musically, his films were pulling him under. This is just my opinion, but it is probably well known that the movies and their soundtracks were tepid at best.

4. I Just Can’t Help Believin’

“This album is another favorite of mine because it allows Elvis to be the real Elvis. After he returned to the stage he OWNED the stage. That was his domain and he gave the audience the results of his revived hunger to be the best. I enjoy all of the songs on this album, but I’ll pick out a couple of favorites.”

3. Bridge Over Troubled Water

“It’s hard to remember when Elvis actually reached “brilliance.” Listening to this, it is hard to believe it is only 1970…this is pure Elvis brilliance…and that’s the way it is!”

2. Just Pretend

“This is better than nearly everything else Elvis did after the fifties, despite the fact that it didn’t produce any major singles. Unlike many of his later albums, every song is well crafted.”

1. Stranger in the Crowd

“Elvis was still healthy in late 1970. His voice was strong and remained one on the best in the music business. At this point in his career he was able to take almost any song and create his own unique version.”
