The Bad Actors turn up the heat with new protest anthem ‘Bears Repeating’
Sheffield’s unmistakable orange-clad duo The Bad Actors are back with ‘Bears Repeating’, a funk-fuelled new single that arrives with equal parts groove and urgency.
Inspired by the protest music traditions of previous generations but aimed squarely at the present day, the track combines razor-sharp social commentary with infectious rhythmic energy. Funk-driven percussion underpins bursts of rap-rock intensity, creating a sound that feels as indebted to politically charged guitar music as it does to classic soul and funk records.
Produced by David Sanderson of Sheffield favourites Reverend and The Makers, the single captures the band’s ability to balance dancefloor momentum with a message that reflects the tensions and frustrations of modern life.
With ‘Bears Repeating’, the duo deliver another energetic statement from a band determined to make noise for all the right reasons.
