The Gnomes turn up the volume on explosive new single ‘Batteries’
Melbourne’s The Gnomes are charging into an exhilarating new era with ‘Batteries’, a thunderous new single that signals a dramatic evolution in their sound ahead of forthcoming EP With A Gnome.
Having established themselves through their infectious take on sixties-inspired rock, the Australian four-piece are now embracing something considerably more ferocious.
‘Batteries’ begins with unexpected restraint before erupting into a magnificent collision of distorted guitars, muscular rhythms and unrestrained garage-rock energy. Its striking dynamic contrasts reveal a band increasingly confident in pushing their creative boundaries.
Arriving November 4, the four-track EP was produced by Dec Mehrtens of Amyl and The Sniffers, whose involvement brings additional punk-rock pedigree to the project.
