The Howlers preview new album with intensely personal single ‘Cold Sweat’
London indie rock outfit The Howlers continue the build-up to their forthcoming second album Heavy with the release of ‘Cold Sweat’, a powerful new single that arrives ahead of the record’s 9 October release. The track follows a landmark period for the band, which has included European dates alongside Alice Cooper, ZZ Top and Deep Purple, as well as the announcement of upcoming shows with Wolfmother.
Blending atmospheric synths with driving guitars and frontman Adam Young’s commanding vocal performance, ‘Cold Sweat’ explores a deeply personal chapter inspired by a prolonged health battle that forced him to confront uncertainty and rebuild his life. The result is an emotionally charged indie rock anthem that balances vulnerability with resilience.
The release also marks another step forward in the band’s new era as a duo, with Young and drummer Toby Richards refining a more focused and confident creative direction following the success of their acclaimed debut album.
