“It’s beautiful and I love this song. Don’t know why but just can’t help singing along to this song, not as iconic as can you feel the love tonight and circle of life but definitely my favourite.”

7. He Lives in You

“This song is absolutely gorgeous. It is in Lion King (the musical) and Rafiki sings it to Simba about how Mufasa still lives in Simba. It gives me goosebumps every single time I listen to it. I love this song and be prepared, but be prepared is, in my opinion, harder to make sound good, only the best of voices can pull it off, and I’ve heard versions that just didn’t cut it.”

6. Not One of Us

“Definitely the best lion king song, the lyrics, the tune and the fact that it is so happy. Hakuna Matata is the best song ever sung by Pumbaa and Timon! Hakuna Matata is the best phrase ever.”

4. I Just Can’t Wait to Be King

“Probably this song and “Hakuna Matata” were my favorite songs from the live action. They put JUST a little bit of their own souls into, that made it nostalgic and refreshing to me”

“This song is the best love song ever, very heartfelt and has a good tune to it! Elton John did a great job with this song! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!”

2. Circle of Life

“The opening scene in the movie touched my heart so much, me and my sister started tearing up a little. Especially the key changes in the song get me every time. This movie is the best Disney movie ever made.”

1. Be Prepared

“This song really pulls together the lion king and makes it an interesting movie. Scar descibes his plan to kill Mufasa to the hyenas in this song. He gets all the bad guys on the same note so they can rule Pride Rock. Even though scar makes some promises that he doesn’t exactly keep, his miscievous mind still creates the wonderful plot of the movie”
