The Naked Grace Missionaries – ‘Glossolalia’

Over these last few months, London has been graced by the presence of fast-rising trio The Naked Grace Missionaries. Described by Broadly as “two ethereally beautiful girls and one bearded guy singing acoustic songs inspired by The Manson Family and The Wicker Man”, the newly-formed group have been quick to build an impassioned following for themselves. And while they still look to find new areas of the capital to make their mark on, they have now released their invigorating debut EP ‘Glossolalia’.

The last few months of live shows have certainly given the band a chance to refine their direction, and this is exactly what we get to experience on ‘Glossolalia’. Keeping as much of their electrifying stage presence alive with its raw and rustic approach to production, this whimsical three-track outing is a fine and forward-thinking introduction to a name that feels on the cusp of something very special indeed.

Not since the days of The Moldy Peaches has a folk-inspired collective delivered something so distinctive and fascinating to the scene. With such a fresh and imaginative approach to their songwriting, The Naked Grace Missionaries certainly look to make a serious impact here.
