Traitrs return with gothic juggernaut ‘Burn In Heaven’

Toronto’s Traitrs make a thunderous return with ‘Burn In Heaven’, their first new music since 2021’s Horses In The Abattoir. The track is a brutal, cinematic darkwave anthem, exploring the violent collision of blind faith and science.

Inspired by the real-life tragedy of Anneliese Michel, the song cuts deep with motorik drums, serrated guitar lines, and wailing vocals that recall The Cure’s Pornography-era intensity. It’s a searing examination of religious extremism, guilt, and possession, wrapped in a retro-futurist soundscape that feels both sacred and apocalyptic.

Produced by Josh Korody and mastered by Matt Colton, ‘Burn In Heaven’ is a towering first taste of ‘Possessor’, the band’s upcoming 2026 LP.
