Victon Songs Ranked
Victon (Korean: 빅톤; stylized as VICTON, an acronym for Voice to New World) is a South Korean boy group formed in 2016 by IST Entertainment. The group is composed of seven members: Han Seung-woo, Kang Seung-sik, Heo Chan, Lim Se-jun, Do Han-se, Choi Byung-chan and Jung Su-bin. They debuted on November 9, 2016, with their extended play Voice to New World. Members Chan, Seungwoo, Seungsik and Byungchan joined A Cube Entertainment in 2014 and were among the company’s first batch of male trainees. Hanse and Sejun joined a year later, followed by last-minute addition, former Cube Entertainment trainee Subin. Several of the members had experience working with their label-mates whilst still trainees, having been back-up dancers for Apink at their 2015 “Pink Island” concerts and recorded backing vocals for Huh Gak’s album. Here are all of Victon songs ranked.

10. Stupid O’Clock (Chaos, 2022)
“Nice track. It’s not that kind of thing I’m impressed about, but I love its dark atmosphere. The chorus could be more interesting, though. Btw, there’s something very American Top 40 about the way this song sounds, in my opinion (maybe the hook made me think so).”
9. Chronograph (Chronograph 2022)
“It was extemely short but still felt packed – I have a feeling this will grow on me with a few performances! When What I Said came about I didn’t really like it much but their stages were so fun and I found it really catchy later!”
8. Sweet Travel (Sweet Travel, 2021)
“I think this one is going to really grow on me over time. The chorus is nice and catchy but the vocal isn’t jarring, it’s sung well and I found myself humming it after just one listen. Is it playing it slightly safe? Yeah, but I’ve got time for it.”

7. What I Said (Voice: The Future Is Now, 2021)
“I ended up liking this way more than the Treasure song, which I sort of didn’t expect. The chorus could’ve been a bit more… everything, but it’s not obnoxious in its repetition so I’m fine with it. I like their vocalists a lot, though, Seungsik has a really enjoyable voice which glues their recent releases together.”
6. Mayday (Mayday, 2020)
“It seems it’s not actually as bad as my first impression of it, but my beef with this song is that the chorus actually sounds like a pre-chorus. It leaves me on my toes expecting the big climax that never comes. Even more when it comes on the heels of Howling, which was quite a lot more theatrical.”
5. Howling (Continuous, 2020)
“I actually think this is their strongest song yet! It may sound similar to alot of boy group tracks of the past few months, but that hook is an absolute winner in my ears. The beast comparison is bang on, and probably the reason why I like it so much. The rest of the track is fine, not revolutionary, but still pretty good in its own right.”

4. Nostalgic Night (Nostalgia, 2019)
“This is actually probably one of my fave Victon comebacks (probably an unpopular opinion here) but the chorus of the song is what gets stuck in my head so easily and Seungsik’s vocals really create an atmospheric feel to the EDM chorus. I agree the verses aren’t the most memorable but the chorus is what gets me everytime.”
3. Unbelievable (Identity, 2017)
“Unbelievable is decidedly upbeat, and takes a funkier, looser approach than we’re used to from most tightly choreographed idol pop. In this way, the song almost sounds like something modern-day Winner might release.”
2. Eyez Eyez (Ready, 2017)
“The vocal arrangement from the pre-chorus on gives the track a big, layered appeal, complimented by a funky synth solo that ties the hook’s splintered pieces together. The second verse rap is also effective, but that’s not a huge surprise.”
1. I’m Fine (Voice to New World, 2016)
“I’m Fine succeeds more as a song than as a convincing introduction of the group. While I can’t fault any of its musical choices or the guys’ laid-back delivery, there’s nothing that stands out as particularly unique or noteworthy.”
