VIXX (Korean: 빅스 pronounced “vicks”; acronym for “voice, visual, value in excelsis”) is a South Korean boy band formed by Jellyfish Entertainment through the 2012 reality show MyDOL. Originally a sextet, the group is presently composed of five members: N, Leo, Ken, Ravi and Hyuk—former vocalist Hongbin left the group and the agency in August 2020. They are predominantly known as a concept or performance group whose music, lyrics, choreography, and overall stage performances are crafted together to tell a story or concept. VIXX has cemented a “niche in the theatrical side of K-pop” with performances that follow a storyline that is carefully put together. In a review of one of their concerts, journalist Park Jung Sun commented, “They presented live performances which broke prejudices people have towards idols. VIXX presented a musical-like stage as coming off from the-usual-concert which displays singing and dancing. VIXX led their fans to UTOPIA that they constructed”. Here are all of VIXX songs ranked.

5. Reincarnation (Reincarnation, 2018)

“I got like scentist beautiful liar and fantasy feel in this song. How hyuk breathes in the petals and somehow remembers or have a flashback of something. The way hyuk wanted to touch the rose and ravi urging him too but he doesn’t want to as if not wanting to be involved with it or someone. Then it seem like each member is a reincarnation of another member? Idk but this looks amazing and I can’t wait for this to be out.”

“I really think this is brilliant though, there are SO many different percussion noises used throughout this song, its very dynamic. The droning bass just gives it this slow jammy sexy grind that I think makes it brilliant for me.”

3. Black Out (Shangri-La, 2017)
