11. Lipan Conjuring
“Very nice album that’s arty, progressive and straightforward at the same time. Even if there’s a lot of ambient noise & stuff, the album is coherent and relatively easy to grasp.”
10. Viginiti Tres
“Viginti Tres” is our final track, our closer, and how does it fare? It opens with some very bizarre sounds that could be anything from vehicles, to wind, to breathing or bullets, I don’t know. Then it turns into this sort of atmospheric white noise which sounds like it’s straight from Eraserhead, in fact this entire song has an Eraserhead vibe to it in general, and I’m not a fan of the soundscape to that movie, so I’m not a fan of this either. It’s not scary, and it just leaves the album with a sour taste for me.:
9. Lost Keys (Blame Hofmann)
“This is Tool’s compositional triumph. It may sound a lot like Lateralus, but this flat blows it away. I know a lot of people don’t like this record, but I find it to be close to a masterpiece. There are elements that I don’t like, sure, but the genius of the compositions far outweigh that. “

8. Intension
“Intension’ is something truly different incorporating all sorts of contrasts – the main part has more than a passing resemblance to ‘Planet Caravan’ and then it sort of morphs into a more modern version of same with its IDM rhythm. It works pretty well as a mood piece.”
7. Wings For Marie
Go together as one song as me, and although it’s a long one when they’re combined, it’s something that’s growing on me more and more whilst I listen to it, obviously there are a lot of different sounds going on throughout, and I’m not going to pretend like I understand everything that’s happening, but it’s something that as i’ve aged my liking for this has increased.”
6. Jambi
“Jambi” follows a simpler structure than Vicarious, and whilst it isn’t as good of a song in general as the latter, that is by no means a completely bad thing, and it’s a perfectly enjoyable track.”
5. Right In Two
“Right in Two” Opens like what i’d describe a “traditional” Tool song to be like, slow, with vocals, light instrumentation and a Xylophone? Possibly some odd wooden drum like instrument kicks in also, i’m not a savant, i’m primarily talking just from what I think rather than knowing anything, apologies”

4. The Pot
“‘The Pot’ is more or less a straightforward alternative metal song, an approach I quite like from Tool and is really a breath of fresh air on this album. The great lyrics and bass in the beginning just make me speechless every time. And when the comp enters it’s just perfection.”
3. Rosetta Stoned
“I LOVE rosetta stoned! it is so different than anything I have heard and it keeps me interested and amazed. and it makes me laugh. the music is stunning and the whole song incorporates so many different meanings and is completely original and awesome.”
2. 10,000 Days
“10,000 Days is one of the rare albums that I physically own. I can’t remember when I bought it, it must’ve been when it was relatively new, ’cause it feels like a decade since Tool have released anything, because it has been. I had no previous knowledge at the time as to who Tool were, and how much of an impact they’ve had on modern music with their three previous efforts.”
1. Vicarious
“The opening track “Vicarious” I’m not gonna lie, it’s one of my favourite songs I’ve ever heard. I don’t really know why, I just like the songs structure and the sound of the instrumentation, it just really speaks to me, and that’s not something a lot of songs do, I’m not going to lie. Even Maynard’s whispering vocals, obviously they’re not breaking through all of the scales, but there’s just something about them that’s pleasing to me here.”
