4. Terrible Thrills, Vol. 2Ā

ā€œStrange Desires and Terrible Thrills VOL. 2 is the same album with different performers featured which leads to their own sets of ups and downs. In my opinion, if you just want to hear the very best songs, then I would recommend listening toĀ Wild Heart, Reckless Love, Like a River Runs,,Ā Youā€™re Still a Mystery, andĀ Who I Want You to LoveĀ fromĀ Strange Desire. And if you want the best from this album, listen toĀ Rollercoaster, Shadow, Like a River Runs,Ā (if you can tolerate Siaā€™s voice)Ā Iā€™m Ready to Move On/Wild Heart RepriseĀ andĀ Who I Want You to Love.ā€

3. Take The Sadness Out Of Saturday NightĀ

ā€œIn Bleachersā€™ third album, producer of Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, St. Vincent & many more ā€“ Jack Antonoff proves once again heā€™s a pop powerhouse. This record seems so out of place in todayā€™s world but also more relevant than ever in this time. From the slow strums of electric guitars to the 90 second sax pieces, this album encapsulates every era of music. From 60s jazz to 80s synths to modern day beats, Bleachers is more at home on this record than the previous two ā€“ and proves that though Jack Antonoff may not be ready to step way out of his musical comfort zone quite yet, heā€™s still thriving in the world of music.ā€

2. Gone NowĀ

ā€œThereā€™s something very distinct about the way Jack Antonoff writes a pop song. The songs feel strangely empty; in a good way. Thereā€™s a lot of room left in each track, by which I donā€™t mean that the songs are by any means simple but that so much effort and care has gone in to whatā€™s there- itā€™s very easy to appreciate each individual element of the music.

1. Strange DesireĀ

ā€œA rather spectacular collection of vintage sounding indie pop tracks. The album loses steam at the last two songs but otherwise this is one hell of a listening experience. FANTASTIC melodies and an engaging emotional narrative delivered by a compelling frontman. Absolutely recommended.ā€
