10. Rinse Me Down (Flaws, 2010)

“BBC can do no wrong in my opinion, how can we criticize a prolific talented British band with a unique sound and pixie-like vocals? we can forget the world for a while and escape into the world they create!”

9. Leave It (A Different Kind of Fix, 2011)

“I see this song is about two people who are just so hopelessly meant to be together, but one is afraid of it and running away, “leave it” meaning don’t make this harder than it has to be (because she’s trying to get away). And the speaker (hold you tight, words have a new sound) knows what they have is special and is holding on to her tightly (emotionally). Because the subject is afraid of the relationship, she is making excusing to why it cannot work – all of which have been disproven in practice (each of your reasons has broken).”

8. Swansea (Flaws 2010)

“This is my favorite Bombay Bicycle Club song. The fact that all they need is two guitars, a snare drum, and a boom box to create incredible music just proves how freaking BADASS these people are.”

7. Dust on the Ground (I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose, 2009)

“I think this is about that one true love, maybe it came too early on when they were too young and not mature enough, when neither were settled or ready to admit that this was it for them; so they parted. Now he’s realizing that they were wrong and everything’s a mistake without her, he’s going to have to wait for their paths to cross again and everything’s just a waiting game till she comes back.”

6. Lights Out, Words Gone (A Different Kind of Fix, 2011)

“This is a great song. I think its about someone who might have broken up with someone else and the guy who has liked her even though she was still in a relationship and wants his chance at her…”when the light is out and the words are gone let me be the one to try them on.”

5. How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, 2010)

“I believe there’s another verse before the final “there’s a story in which my eyes shut, could you wake me up” can’t quite make out the lyrics though. this song is beautiful – especially live!”

4. Luna (So Long, See You Tomorrow, 2014)

“Well this list is obviously old, the new album is by far their best, and its really difficult to pick a song, but I would say Luna is beautiful. Never get tired of listening”

3. Ivy & Gold (Flaws, 2010)

“This is by far the happiest uppity BBC song yet. I love them to death but their songs always make me feel TOO chill and lethargic. This is a nice change.”

2. Shuffle (A Different Kind of Fix, 2011)

“This song is overly addictive. I feel like I’m on drugs when I’m listening to it. Not that I really know what that’s like…Anyway, it’s just so lightening and vibrant and alive. It really makes you question too. I think it’s all about the fear of commitment. “Say you mean it, seal it up. Say you wanna try.” It’s about begging your love to accept what you know they feel. “Why won’t you believe in it ’til it’s gone?” The low point of all human characteristics, we want things we can’t have and we realize what we want too late.”

1. Always Like This (I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose, 2009)

“Always like this is one of the best songs I’ve heard in ages. I love the jangly guitar, and the singer’s voice, and it generally just makes me smile, and it’s nice to wake up to in the morning. Most indeed recommended.”
