10. Abstract Art (The New Reign, 2007)

“I was hyped for this remake but the production was mediocre in the end. For an album this heavy they should have made sure the breakdowns sounded on point and they don’t. These guys aren’t rookies it’s a shame it was released like this. Other than the clarity of this remake the original is superior.”

9. Devastate (The Discovery, 2011)

“Still one of the best progressive metal/ deathcore bands ever! And this song is just so perfect in every way, beautiful and haunting all at the same time!”

8. Open Arms to Damnation (The New Reign, 2007)

“Great song, and obviously it means he’s sick of this generation. And he just wants to change this world into a better a place, explaining the “Bring forth sincerity, bring forth the change.” The sad thing is this song is so true.”

7. Singularity (The Discovery, 2011)

“Such a good song, love the ending near the breakdown. Anyhow the meaning is fairly straight forward they say the future of man is a cycle, and they want it to be broken. it also matches up with the title of the song, a singularity in math is a hole in a graph making it not continuous”

6. Exhilarate (Tomorrow We Die Alive, 2013)

“It’s all in the mix dude, this album’s a more atmospheric one. Any decent guitarist and drummer could create something equal to this cover it but would sound even more mediocre. Everything from the tone to the keys\synth and overall sound is what gives this album it’s edge.”

5. Illusionist ( Tomorrow We Die Alive, 2013)

“That guitar is actually really cool. Maybe its not as technical as something Jason could do but, its not always about being as technical as possible.”

4. Now Arise (A Higher Place, 2009)

“This painted the most epic picture in my head. BOO uses such great ways to express meaning in their songs. This part is about people are trying to improve but they fail by judging others and creating disputes; letting the ego take over.”

3. Recreate (The Discovery, 2011)

“Good theories. I know that when they were writing this album, BoO was reading a lot of literature that had to do with a higher state of being type stuff. They probably have some sorts of tie ins to that stuff, especially looking at the cover with the giant being that has the earth in his hand.”

2. Follow the Signs (The Discovery, 2011)

“This song actually explains the fact that Religion and spirituality are in fact the antithesis of each other (you’ll know it when you see the video). Religion aims at taking away the real power within you (which is the same energy which runs through the universe). Religion misguides you, and leads you in the wrong way, taking yourself away from the spiritual self.”

1. Machine (Tomorrow We Die Alive, 2013)

“Good metal bands are a dime a dozen. Born of osiris is at the top though. I feel strong emotions and metal hits those in just the right way. Im a musician myself and find them inspiring. I’ve spent too much of my life being dark, destructive, hateful and boderline evil. The thing I like about born of osiris is it is dark evil sounding music, but the lyrical content and theme is uplifting and positive. Rather than writing music about killing people or being self destructive.”
