Canned Pineapple sign to Missing Piece Records and release new single ‘Done With Everything’
Brighton-based indie-rock five-piece Canned Pineapple have announced their signing to Missing Piece Records, marking the occasion with the release of their new single ‘Done With Everything’.
Produced by Tom Rees of Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, the track combines distorted guitars, garage-rock energy and infectious melodies, drawing comparisons to the alternative-rock sounds of Weezer and Supergrass.
Recorded with an emphasis on capturing the band’s live performance, the single features bass, drums and rhythm guitar tracked together, alongside vocals recorded in the same room.
Formed in 2021 around the songwriting partnership of Seán Drury and Oakley Gardiner, Canned Pineapple have established themselves within Brighton’s independent music scene, attracting support from BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and Clash Magazine.
