10. Out of Control
āTed Nugentās Cat Scratch Fever is my favorite album from him. A great classic rocker from start to finish. The famous title track is my least favorite song on here, but that one is still good with an awesome riff.ā
9. Home Bound
āNugentās āHome Boundā has a lot more energy and grittiness to it, though it forgoes the edge of the four songs preceding it n the album, which almost all relyārightfully soāon hard-rocking riffs and Nugentās dynamic, slashing guitar work.ā
8. Fist Fightinā Son of a Gun
āOne of Ted Nugentās more famous efforts, Cat Scratch Fever is a good, solid rock nā roll album. And, if the entire album showed the strength of the first four tracks, it would be a masterpiece. Unfortunately, it suffers from a weak middle, before āFist Fightinā Son of a Gunā picks up the pace again near the end of the album.ā

7. Live It Up
āThings tend to fall away a bit from there though, no real stinkers but nothing particularly memorable for theĀ rightĀ reasons. āLive It Upā is probable memorable for its Bo Diddley beat, which has been done a thousand times before and since.ā
6. A Thousand Knives
āA Thousand Knives,ā just a killer song thatās filled with great melodic lead guitar! This song is my 2nd TOP favorite on this album. This is as excellentā¦ as EXCELLENT can get. One hell of a Dynamite song.ā
5. Death by Misadventure
āIf I remember right, this song tells about Brian Jones drowning in the summer of 1969. He had been a member of the Rolling Stones, before he died. I like THIS song quite wellā¦the guitar work is real good.ā

4. Sweet Sally
āSweet Sally,ā just another catchy riff laden song that Iāll take to the grave. Tedās singing is decent on this album and of course his guitar playing is smokin as usual
3. Wang Dang Sweet Poontang
āRegardless of the cover, this was Tedās most successful studio outing perhaps due to the success of the title track as a single. Itās typically stupid but catchy and memorable. Sad to say the same thing about āWang Dang Sweet Poontangā but you wonder whether he was running out of things to write about when he penned that one. Yet, there are several similarly titled songs throughout his catalogue.ā
2. Workinā Hard, Playinā Hard
āThe meaning to this song is rather similar to āLive It Upā. This is another Happy Go Lucky song. I LOVE this tune very much & it TIES w/ āLive It Upā as my TOP favorite song.ā
1. Cat Scratch Fever
āCat Scratch Fever is a fantastic album and along with his self-titled debut are Ted Nugentās best solo albums. Although he was better known for his live shows, wicked guitar playing, and wildman image, Ted wrote some of the best hard rock songs of the late 70ās and several of them are featured here.ā
