Ceylon Sailor share new single ‘The Tiny Wave’
Brooklyn’s indie-rock collective Ceylon Sailor step forward with their latest single ‘The Tiny Wave’, a track that finds the band expanding their sound while holding tight to their scrappy, analogue heart. Known for drawing inspiration from acts like Pavement and Neutral Milk Hotel, the six-piece lean into richer harmonies, brighter melodies and a more expansive arrangement on this release.
Originally written before the pandemic, ‘The Tiny Wave’ has since been reshaped through full-band collaboration. What began as a rough-edged indie cut has transformed into a buoyant, harmony-laced anthem. Chiming guitars, driving percussion, brass accents and even touches of banjo give the track a sunlit, orchestral feel, while its dynamic quiet-to-loud shifts nod to the group’s lo-fi roots.
Recorded entirely with analogue techniques, the single captures Ceylon Sailor’s distinctive warmth and texture. ‘The Tiny Wave’ is a small story told with big-hearted sound.
