Social Distortion announce new album Born To Kill, share explosive title-track

Orange County punk legends Social Distortion return with their first studio album in 15 years. Titled Born To Kill, the band’s eighth full-length arrives on 8 May 2026 via Epitaph Records. The album’s fiery title-track is available now alongside a new video.

Marking their first release since 2011’s Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, the record also follows frontman Mike Ness’ recovery from cancer. Across 11 tracks, Born To Kill captures the band’s trademark grit and melodic punch, pairing hard-driving rock ’n’ roll with reflective songwriting that nods to their decades-spanning legacy.

Co-produced by Ness and Dave Sardy, the album features contributions from Benmont Tench and Lucinda Williams, with artwork created in collaboration with Shepard Fairey.

To celebrate the release, Social Distortion will embark on a major European tour this summer, including UK appearances at Download Festival and a London show at KOKO, alongside dates across Scandinavia and mainland Europe.
