Coilguns rage against digital collapse on new single ‘Platform Decay’
Swiss noise-rock heavyweights Coilguns unleash another ferocious statement of intent with ‘Platform Decay’, a thunderous new single that captures the band’s uncompromising musical vision and increasingly urgent social commentary.
The track delivers a blistering combination of abrasive guitars, relentless percussion and hypnotic vocal melodies, transforming frustration with the modern internet into an exhilarating alternative-rock anthem. Confronting the deterioration of online spaces, misinformation and the growing influence of digital platforms, Coilguns turn their attention towards those fighting to preserve freedom and independence across the internet.
The result is a gloriously unpredictable arrangement that balances the band’s trademark aggression with newfound melodic ambition.
‘Platform Decay’ provides the final preview of Coilguns’ fifth studio album, Everything We Love, We Destroy, arriving November 6 via Humus Records.
