Dubinski take aim at digital chaos on explosive new single ‘Information Overload’
Edinburgh indie rock outfit Dubinski return with a fierce new statement in the form of ‘Information Overload’. Packed with restless energy, razor-sharp guitars and pointed lyrical themes, the track sees the four Gaine brothers confronting the exhausting reality of modern digital life.
Blending post-punk intensity with socially charged songwriting, ‘Information Overload’ explores the pressures of endless online consumption, algorithm-driven culture and the growing disconnect between creativity and commerce. Anchored by a punchy, repeat-worthy refrain, the single captures the frustration of trying to create meaningful art in a world dominated by data and attention spans.
The accompanying video leans further into that tension, featuring hand-drawn animation created by bassist Donal Gaine. Inspired by the offbeat visual style of legendary animators like Bob Godfrey and Mike Judge, the visuals add another layer of chaotic charm to the release.
Following recent singles ‘Ciggy Burns’ and ‘Back To Basics’, the new track offers another glimpse into Dubinski’s forthcoming album, due later this year. Having already shared stages with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Young Knives, Dubinski continue establishing themselves as one of Scotland’s most exciting rising alternative acts.
