6. It Matters To Me

“This album has some sassy songs along with “It Matters to Me” and “I can’t do That Anymore,” which are plaintive and lovely. “A Man’s Home is His Castle” is a good story song. Basically this album has everything good about country on it.”

5. Take Me As I Am

“Faith’s debut album is just great. I especially love “Take Me as I am”, “Wild One”, “Just about now”, “Life’s too short to live like that” and “Go the distance”. Her “Piece of my heart” is wonderful. I think this one is probably Faith’s best work ever. I listen to it at least once a day! It is just great!”

4. Faith

“This is Faith’s 3rd album and it was this album that launched her into a new direction! I personally loved her previous 2 albums as they were traditional country however this is still a good album. It includes her big hits This Kiss(summery up tempo song),and the ballads Let Me Let Go(which features Vince Gill on harmonies)and her duet with hubby Tim McGraw Just To Hear You Say That You Love Me. Other standouts are the great up tempos You Give Me Love, The Secret Of Life, Me and The Hard Way. All really catchy songs!”

3. Fireflies

“I truly love, “Like We Never Loved At All”. The words of this song speak for themselves and the manner in which Faith delivers the message with her sultry sound is both enjoyable and makes you really identify with the sense of sadness she delivers.”

2. Cry

“So Faith Hill’s a country singer right? Then what’s she doing releasing a pop/rock album that is only loosely tied to the genre in which she has achieved so much success? She’s taking a chance. To me it seems like the chance didn’t pay off because it just didn’t get played in the right circles enough because, from the standpoint of a listener, it’s a fantastic album that showcases her vocal talent, excellent lyrical and melodic surprises, brilliant instrumentation and a wide variety of song types.”

1. Breathe

“Faith Hill’s Breathe, released in 1999 was the album that crossed her over from Country to Pop music. I would say that she was more a hybrid than a total crossover act because the album did very much keep her country sound, but the big hits from the album, Breathe, and The Way You Love Me, were solidly in the category of adult-contemporary pop.”
