Five Finger Death Punch, also abbreviated as 5FDP or FFDP, is an American heavy metal band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2005. The band’s name comes from the kung fu cinema. The band originally consisted of vocalist Ivan Moody, guitarist Zoltan Bathory, guitarist Caleb Andrew Bingham, bassist Matt Snell, and drummer Jeremy Spencer. Bingham was replaced by guitarist Darrell Roberts in 2006, who was then replaced by Jason Hook in 2009. Bassist Matt Snell departed from the band in 2010 and was replaced by Chris Kael in 2011. 8. F8 (2020)

“When FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH came into the Rock music scene. My ist experience was their 1st hit “THE BLEEDING” I instantly fell in love with the singers voice. Ivan’s vocal ranges are so incredibly awesome. Sometimes I thought that there was more than one vocalist in the band. Then with every new CD that came out after that.. i could relate to their messages in so many of their songs i have loved every song on every new CD that they put out including F8.”

7. The Way Of The Fist (2007)

“Awesome solo guitar riffs and excellent music to just bang your head to. The lead singer has a very full bodied scream and he can actually sing, which is few and far between with most metal bands. It’s a very visceral and testosterone filled metal album, which is awesome. Most new metal out there nowadays is a few kids still in high school screaming about problems that only impact teens and I can’t relate to that crap.”

6. And Justice For None (2018)

“This album is still FFDP. The difference is there aggression is toned down and the emotional lyrical writing takes hold a lot more. anyone who isn’t emotionally dead and actually understands the point in metal music besides screaming and aggression can greatly appreciate the emotional torment and rage behind the lyrics.”

5. The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell, Volume 2 (2013)

“I bought this release for one song, “House Of The Rising Sun” which is just a personal favorite of mine and I keep trying to find every version of it I can. I’m very pleased with FFDP’s rendition here…it has a harder edge than most any other I’ve ever heard, yet it remains true to the original. I appreciate their swap from New Orleans to “Sin City”…it works and I like it. Glad to hear and see that today’s younger Rockers still appreciate something as timeless as “House Of The Rising Sun”. But, be warned, it ain’t your daddy’s “House Of The Rising Sun”!! I think this ranks right up there with their version of Bad Company’s “Bad Company”!!”

4. The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell, Volume 1 (2013)

“This album is a triumph. There are so many amazing qualities here — from visceral lyrics to blistering riffs — that I don’t even know where to start. Traditionally, FFDP has been too mainstream for my tastes, and Vol II certainly fits that bill. The thing is, Volume 1 us a giant among men. “Diary of A Deadman” is a brilliant composition all the way around. “M.I.N.E” is perhaps the most relevant guttural acknowledgement of human suffering ever written. “

3. War Is The Answer (2009)

“Out of 13 songs, I liked 9. That sounds like a good average. Even though they are categorised as a heavy metal band, my favorite track was the Ballad, “Far from Home”. If one of my Favorite TV shows wasn’t “Criminal Minds”, I never would have heard it. It was played at the end of one of the episodes. I also enjoyed most of the “High Energy” Rockers as well.”

2. Got Your Six (2015)

“Great documentary and highly enjoyable pop-metal album. It is like White Zombie with Nickelback choruses. Is it intentionally comedic? Do the fans take the band seriously like Manowar fans take their gimmick seriously? Either way, I love it. Very talented band. I like it so much that I’m going to pre-order the new album.”

1. American Capitalist (2011)

“There’s certainly no question that “American Capitalist” is one hell of an awesome album from Five Finger Death Punch that delivers in all fronts, and in other words, it is an absolute, solid punch straight to the face. Being a big fan of Five Finger Death Punch since their 2007 debut release “The Way of the Fist”, and also have loved their 2009 sophomore release “War is the Answer”, this album certainly doesn’t disappoint at all whatsoever.”
