Heavy Shrug push back against generational stereotypes on ‘Lazybones’

Philadelphia rock outfit Heavy Shrug take aim at familiar accusations of millennial laziness on their latest track ‘Lazybones’, turning the stereotype into a sharp piece of alternative rock satire.

The song’s narrator adopts the caricature of the unmotivated, directionless millennial and pushes it towards absurdity. The joke takes a darker turn with the idea of an older generation replacing its supposedly disappointing human offspring with an efficient, emotion-free AI alternative.
